Have you heard of the “soft life” movement? It’s been called a “trend” for the last two years, but to me it’s a lifestyle. One that I am fully committed to embodying. The basis of the soft life is rejecting hustle culture. It’s about prioritizing your well being + inner peace, living intentionally, and setting boundaries. It’s a redefinition of what success looks like. And it’s a movement that I can see more and more women adopting recently!

Welcome to your May energy update! When I was feeling into the energy of May, the first image I saw was the wild horses that live in the Outerbanks. Last September, my husband and I took a little vacation to a charming coastal town in North Carolina called Duck. One of my absolute favorite things we were able to experience was going on a tour to see the horses that roam free on the beaches of Corolla. As legend goes, the ancestors of these horses were brought there by Spanish explorers in the 1500s. They were either abandoned onshore or swam in from shipwrecks. With all odds against them, the horses survived despite harsh conditions and no human assistance. They adapted by eating native plants and found fresh water to drink by pawing at the ground to release springs.

When I first witnessed these beautiful horses roaming all over the island, I was brought to tears. They are the epitome of FREEDOM. They adapt to changing conditions year after year. They live on their own terms. And they never give up. Freedom feels like an overarching collective theme for May.

The question we’ve been asking ourselves is: 

How do you instill resilience in your children BEFORE they encounter big setbacks/failures/dark times in life? What can we do now to guide them to their resilience while they’re young? Here is what I learned…

If I had to choose a theme as of lately it would be thi: OWN YOUR POWER. We’re moving on from the constant healing, clearing, and integration of the last few months to owning your power, claiming your next iteration, and making bold moves forward!

There’s a really creative, fiery energy to April overall - There’s also whole lot of rebirth energy happening! Almost every single client I’ve had lately + myself has gotten the “Rebirth” oracle card at the end of their session if that tells you anything. We’re coming out of the chrysalis into a new version of ourselves. This month you’re going to feel very inspired to take action and move forward through into this new beginning.
